Description:
If it gets a little toasty inside your car in the summer or chilly in the winter; then you will want to consider installing our new space age insulation material.
Its technically called RB, but we call it "Cool Stuff"...for good reasons. RB (radiant energy barrier) is a NASA spinoff technology material that reflects +97% of all radient (infrared) energy that strikes it and it's amazingly only .005" thick!
This is of the same technology used to keep astronauts safe from the +400/-400 degree F temperature extremes in outer space. RB STOPS heat, not just slow down the rate of transfer like bulk insulations... fiberglass, cellulose, foam, etc. NASA and independant lab tests rate RB at the equivalent of over R25.
RB is constructed of two layers of commercially fine aluminum (99.4% pure), bonded to both sides of a poly insert measuring an amazing .005" thick. The polypropylene center prevents the two aluminum foil surfaces from conducting heat.
The product was initially developed in the 1920s & was considered "classified" for over 30 years. The product was only recently given "declassified" status and available to consumers.
Benefits of Radiant Energy Barriers:
Proven technology (used to insulate Rusty Wallace's NASCAR race car, helmet and gloves)
Stops heat transfer via radiation
Cost effective ($.80 a square foot)
Lasts a lifetime
Enhances fire safety
Easy to install and requires no maintenance
Commercial applications; i.e., insulation for metal frame buildings, above drop ceilings, wraps for boilers, chillers and oilers and wraps for baking ovens, coolers, and food storage containers.
Residential applications; i.e., roofs and side walls of garages and buildings used for building streetrods, attic retrofits, under new siding, hot water heaters, basement walls, under floors and carpeting, wraps for bath tubs, showers and saunas.
