The 472 Hemi crate motor with increased displacement and power is an impressive set-up from the familiar 426 Hemi. The 525 horsepower Hemi comes with high quality chrome valve covers, breathers, front cover and includes Mopar's precision high performance electronic distributor. Other features include:

Heavy duty cast iron block with cross-bolted mains

Cast iron heads

Stainless steel 2.25" intake valves and 1.94" exhaust valves

Heavy duty single valve springs with dampers

Premium material umbrella-type valve stem seals

A 292 degree - .524"/.507" lift hydraulic camshaft

Forged 9:1 compression ratio pistons - 4.250" bore

Aluminum dual-plane M1 4bbl intake manifold

Forged steel crankshaft - 4.150" stroke

Premium double roller timing chain and sprockets

Mopar Performance Parts recommends use of a 850 cfm Holley carburetor with a vacuum secondary and 2" exhaust headers for maximum performance (not included).

Notes:
Note #1: 9:1 compression ratio allows the use of current high octane premium pump gasoline and yet the total package makes more power than the original production version.

Note #2: Hemi crate motors which change the emissions performance of the vehicle may not be legal for use on vehicles regulated for highway use in California and other states. Purchaser must sign Purchase agreement stating engines are for off-road vehicles only.

Warranty:
MOPAR Performance Crate Engine Assemblies - Crate engine assemblies not used in competition are warrented for "parts only" "AS DELIVERED" against defects in material or workmanship for 90 days from the date of purchase. The following covered components for Performace Engine Assemblies, which prove to be defective in materials or workmanship, will be replaced on an exchange basis for 90 days: cylinder blocks and all internal parts;, cylinder head assemblies; intake manifold; core plugs; valve covers; oil pan; timing gear and/or chain and cover; water pump; gasket and seals.

Chrysler, Plymouth, Dodge and Jeep vehicle and parts warranties are voided if the vehicle or parts are used for competition or if they fail as a result of modification.
