where electricity goes when it leaves the toaster.

Ok.
Back to the static electricity discussion.
The electricity goes into the toaster. Then, once the toast is brown, it goes across
the linoleum floor and into the carpet in the living room.
You don't believe this?
Simple test. When the humidity is low, scuff your feet across the carpet, have your
significant other open her/his mouth, touch one of her/his fillings with your finger tip.
Now THAT'S where the electricity goes when it leaves the toaster, stored in their fillings.

What about light bulbs? How does it get out from that little glass bulb? Is there a seceret trap door or something? I bet it would look similar to the seceret door that they little guy that turns the fridge light on and off uses! He is a sneaky little rat, havent caugt him yet!

Ah yes, the "dark suckers".
I, too, have tried to catch the guy that turns on and off the fridge light.
No luck so far.

Wow! You know, you guys need to stop thinkin about this static stuff and go out in the garage and find somethin to do. By the way, for years now, she's been convinced that the little spark she felt when I came near her, was me. But you guys just took care of that! Thanks a lot! T.M.I.
To much info.

Did you know no new electrons have been made since 1932!! Yep, the power companies had a bunch made and stored them in a warehouse out in Nevada I think. Interestingly enough the power companies sell you electrons and them take them right back. They do this 60 times a second, so fast you don't see it. Looking at my electric bills I suspect they sell me the electrons and then charge me a disposal fee, kind of like oil. If someone needs more electrons they send a truck to the warehouse and get a barrel or two, this happens about twice a week from what I understand.

Also, you should never never leave a bare wire hanging out, you should always cap it or connect it to something. If you don't the electrons will drain out and stain the carpet (that's how static electricity can get into your carpet). Also, the electric company can sell you more this way.

Now you know.

Ahhhhh, but on the other hand, the electron flow accross the carpet keeps the carpet charged. The dust is then drawn off of the horizontal surfaces in the house that would otherwise have to be cleaned. This means for a few extra bucks, you save a ton of time in cleaning. Well, for those of us that do not keep those surfaces neatly protected with dirty laundry!

After exhausting thought and experimenting... I have found that the co-efficiency of the fleegle nuts have a lot to do with it!

OK...if it ends up in the carpet and causes electronic stain(can be seen with rose colored glasses), Does that make a Hoover an electron sucker? And how do you empty this container... could it be that we could sell it back to the powwer companies in California and help stop the black outs?
Hmmmmm, a one farad capacitor could act as a storage device. Some people call them batteries... Fred

All these posts remind me of a tech class I attended at Mercedes- Benz School. We were going over wiring schematics. The instructor was explaning the diagrams. Most of the componants were illustrated so you could see how they functioned. There were a couple of computer type componants that weren't so illustrated. The instructor referred to them as F.M.Boxes. When he was asked what does F.M. mean, he replyed F..king Magic. Another time we were told "These componants are full of smoke. If you let the smoke out, you are screwed".

you might not need electricity....

do any of you know how many "real men" it takes to change a light bulb?

none...."real men" aren't afraid of the dark.

and so as not to leave the lady's out

do any of you know how many "real women" it takes to change a light bulb?

none...."real women" would have plenty of real men around to do it.
readers digest

my question .... does the bulb ever get changed?

rickd :-)

See if *I* ever post something like that again.
I'm glad everyone got a chuckle.

Oh, and by the way, how many flys does it take to screw in a light bulb?

two, but I have no clue how they get in there.

snicker.
