It lives!

Quite remarkably, I got the stock engine in my project car to run the other day. I'm thinking it would be a hoot to drive it this summer with the stocker while I look for the perfect engine/tranny combo. I even made a little trip up and down the driveway, although the trip was interupted by the fact that I have no brakes. ;-)

The engine sounded really great, and tight -- keep in mind it's 40 years old, but only has 71K miles. (Talk about a low mileage car!) I'm going to go boneyard hunting for a new rear end and front hubs/rotors as I'm not going to be content with a four on 4" bolt pattern. The only wheels are like British or Chevy Vega ? ? ? Like those are falling out of the sky all the time. :-/
