Title

I saw a post a while back on getting a title for a project,I can't seem to find it in the archives.I am confused on what to do.I have heard all kind of stories...going to dmv with receipts,chp for inspection,smog etc. etc.my car is a wescott '32 highboy,new 350 chev.I saw an ad online for titles,but NO "kitcars".I live in So.Cal.Any help would be greatly appreciated.Thanks

I went thru similar problem with my glas' coupe. I went to: www.floridafasttitle.com $150 got me all the paperwork I needed to get the car title in my grubby little hands. All legal, too.

Hiboy,

What I did was buy a title through the mail from one of those companys that do such things. I bought a title for a 1923 Ford Model T pickup and just registered the car as that.

I'm in NY so the laws may be different. Having lived in California for a number of years I can imagine what you'll run into at the DMV (shudder).

I did find that going to a small DMV office here sure helped. Not so may stuffed shirts.
