If you all may remember my site and board at Streetrodding.tv. I shut it down at the first site of garbage too. Please do not harp on the closing of a site or a board. It is allot of hard work and money to maintain them. It is too bad that others do not understand this and try their hardest to cause trouble. Keep up the good work on this site Jason! I think we all should applaud him!!

I appreciate that, but please keep in mind that there are four of us that keep the show running here (five counting our secret weapon, Karen Z.). Since I'm responsible for most of the site stuff, I guess I'm the most public figure. Believe me, though, a huge amount of work happens behind these SRS curtains :-)

You are certainly right - running a message board can be quite a job sometimes. IMO, moderation is necessary sometimes to keep things running smoothly, but really we haven't had many problems. That is certainly a testament to our great members.

I think just knowing what somebody is monitoring keeps most people within bounds. When it is obvious that nobody is enforcing the rules, and there are no consequences, things can and usually do become a free for all. Everybody gets caught up in it....some are trying to keep the peace and some are just out of control. But everybody pays the price.

I appreciate what you've got going here and its a pleasure to be a small part of it. Your presence here, Jason and Dick, makes a difference, but I've got to agree with you Jason...you have a great group of members and that is the real difference. Each site has its own personality because of the regulars that hang out there. I belong to a few groups here and there and what I look for is people that respect each other for who they are without making judgments against each other just because their interests and opinions differ. The core group at the RRT is like that and I'm sure that we will get back together under a more controlled environment sometime soon. This has been a big learning experience for a lot of people.

Well, gotta get back to the garage. I've got a lot to do before Power Tour. I'm looking forward to meeting some of you this summer while we're out rodding around.
