My source for a 390 FE has gone sour on me. The poor guy blew up his T-bird's 390 and his then spare motor has now become a replacement. Drat. But I have some lines on 460's and could make them work with what I want to do rather nicely.

Does anyone know of a good buildup book for a 429/460 Ford Lima engine?

I've got a '73 Tbird w/460 & C6 that I will not be using. It was stored for over 10 yr., but runs. Smokes a little on startup. If you are anywhere near Denver it's cheap.

I'm a Chevy guy but I've got a stock '69 429 in my 57 Ford and will be building it one of these days so I've been collecting links about ford big blocks. i built a 460 ford for 71 mustang and used the edelbrock buidup mentioned earlier in one of the posts,works great,and excides the numbers mentioned in the buidup. I recomend a book called "how to rebuild ford v8's" by tom monroe,covers 351c,m 400, 429 & 460 pub by hp books the berckly pub grp. It covers all the little diff between changes in the big block thruout the years and found it to be an envaluable source of info.
