Welcome to the board Tom.
Just a side note, youll see a little button on your keyboard that says "Caps Lock". If youll hit it just once more, it wont make all you letters in all caps. That is considered yelling here in cyber world. Now, when you do need to capaltize a letter, youll see a button labeled "Shift", if you hold it down while hitting the letter you need capalitized, youll find it makes little letters into big letters quite nicely. Good looking car BTW.

Hi Tom! I'm from N.Central Texas and only gave "uncle" 12 years but being a gearhead and working on those things that beat the air into submission had its bennies as well as also having autoshop in high school. Never had a lot of real goodies as raising a family came first. Good to meet ya! Fred P

We must think alike. My ride is a Chevy powered Stude too. As from the pic you can tell that I got carried away with the body work. If you see mine on a trailor, then you'll know I broke it. Good luck with yours. Dave (usnr ret)

Hi Tom, I retired in 87 after 28yrs in the USN/R. Live in NH and still having as much fun with cars as I did as a HS kid in the 50's!
Have muscle, custom, and a truck on the road and now going back in time....bldg a 26T coupe on A rails with a blown flathead. Just what I need as I approach the "Senile Citizen" category!

Hi Pink Rod
6 years Navy and a few more in the army reserve just for fun. But back to cars good to have you on board we have a wealth of information spread on this board. I learn somthing every time I log on it's great. I drive a 1930 2dr sedan I hope to have it on the Salt this fall if all goes well and see if it will do 130 it does it quite well on asphalt but the wonderful world of salt is another world.

Hey, Dr. Pepper...please don't mention salt. If you want to drive on salt, bring your car to the midwest in December. I think some of the people driving here are doing 130 when they hit a patch of ice. Just kidding. Nice car.

i would love to see that car of yours out there........i would like to just take in the odors of all that hot rod fuel. black top and salt are different ok....i have had my studie to 140 on asphalt with a new cobra mustang right along side..... man do those things run..... not going to chance that again however, they will take me and the car and loose us. i heard of a guy that got a 6,000 ticket for a stunt like that.......that studie is light and without some ground effects it gets a little like an air plane at that speed. thank god for the air over that hood to keep the front down tom

Hi Tom, Welcome aboard. Glad to have new faces around. From your screen name I would have thought your rod was painted PINK, but alas, I checked the Stude out and its not. You've got to fill us all in on the obviously inside joke of "pink rod". My 47 Ford convert was painted bubble gum pink. Neaver thought I'd be able to sell it, who would want it that color? When low and behold, I sold it in less then 30 days to a guy no less!!! Well wonders never cease. Keep in mind, chat night is Mondays at 9pm. Hope you can make it.
