Wheels, check out www.carshowpics.com for a little coverage of Charlotte.
I still haven't heard from anybody on info pertaining to the lil blue chopped n channeled deuce pro street "Super Squirrel" then again I doubt I ever will unless I myself or somebody runs into the owner and or builder.
We'll keep diggin I guess.
BTW Wheels you missed one super show down this way yesterday. A buddy of mine held a small show at his new bar that ended up being a huge event for no more room than what we had to play with, 128 registered rides from all over MD DE VA PA and one from W.VA. and another 75 to 100 unregistered with 35 turned away due to no more space. The show got over crowded past fire and emergency code but thankfully the cops never looked around back behind the bar in the 200 yard wide by 350 yard deep field where we packed 'em in doorhandle to doorhandle, bumper to bumper. All of the Roadster Boys you know from around here showed, saw Ron Goben with the purple '51 Ford and somebody said Joe Mack showed with his black roadster equipped with hand controls but we never crossed paths I also heard Bert Zweibel showed for a while but never saw him. For a show that went in the works just 1 month ago Friday afternoon it really turned out for the better, I think the turnout even surprised the host club "Karb Kings" from over on the other side of town. It was nothin' but mostly nostalgia rides from front to back. I'm talkin our kinda rides...rat rods traditional stuff mild kustoms, wild stuff and all that. There was a good many high end rods there too but what set it off for me was the whole 50's atmosphere. If it goes off next yr. this time again I'll get you the info on it so you can make it down. It really blew my mind seeing PA VA and W.VA tags and alot of the Southern MD stuff so far up this way. My guess is yesterday was a "lets see if we hit it or miss it" kinda thing, If I were the club prez. you better believe I would have it right back here next year, maybe even take it to a bigger lot so we could get more rides!
Havin fun even in mid November!! See ya at Timonium Cow Palace Dec. 1 and 2 for the Street Cars of Desire "December Show" If ya make it. If not we'll try at the Baltimore World of Wheels if not then definately York if the truck dont find a new owner by then.
See ya!
