You can use as much or as little as you want.I would make up some test panels,if you have an old hood that would be fine, and spray it the same white as your car and then mask off several squares to use as test panels and mix your clear.Add the powdered pearl starting with a teaspoon per quart until you get the desired effect your wanting.spray your clear, let it dry and go look at it in the sunlight.

Or ask your paint supplier for some spray test panels!

Here is what my House Of Color data sheet says, I imagine they are all pretty much the same. . .
Dark base-dry pearl: 3/4 to 1 level Tsp.
Light base-dry pearl: 1 to 2 level Tsp.
Dark base-paste pearl: 1/4 to 1/2 Tsp
Light base-paste pearl: 1/2 to 1 1/2Tsp
Those quantities are for a quart of mixed clear.
For larger(surface area) panels use the lower limit and for small (surface area)panels use the upper limit.
Hope this helps

Ive put a lot of pearl a a lot of cars but I have always put the pearl on and then put the clear over never tried mixin it with the clear... The amount of pearl is correct for a quart,,,,1 coat gives the brilliant flash more coats and it becomes more of a fade to color then you add several coats of clear. Painting it on a test panel is the only to get what you want in a finish product. Remember to keep the gun parallel with the metal so you don't get build up in a corner...

Remember not to spray it to wet, cuz the pearl will lay down to much.
You need it a little dry and it will
Flip better, let the light catch it better..
the guys are right lots of test panels
are the way to go.. Jdee
