Been looking for a 12 volt 45rpm record player for some time. several different manufacturers made them in the late 50s early 60s. The original CD players before 4 and 8 tracks. anyone out there have one for sale or a lead on one ? reasonably priced of course and while it needs to be complete doesn't really have to work.

Cruise low and slow.....Zapato

Zapato,
Having grown up in the cruising days of the 60's in San Leandro, California area I can remember one guy who had a 45 player in his car. It was a lowered Pontiac of early 60's vintage. I recall that the player held a stack of records, perhaps 10 or so at one time and was actually a changer of sorts.
I'll certainly keep my eyes peeled here in NY state and post if I run across one.

Butch Bunn ( use to own Butch's Rod Shop) Had one I think. He's selling off a bunch of stuff and I thought I saw one in the list he was giving out. If you do find one be prepared to pay a lot for it. I'll hunt up that list and check it out. If I uncover anything I'll let you know.

There's 3 new ones on ebay now, but looks like they all go for $300 when the bidding's done. One's at $100 so take a shot.
