World of Wheels

Hello everyone, new member Victor here (aka, sedanman). I'm going to the world of wheels this sunday in Indianapolis. I plan on filling my eye's full of wonderful sights. I know that most of the rods will be trailer queens, but I don't care, I just love to see the craftmanship and vendor booths.

Is anyone else going?

Maybe I'll get some neat idea's for my 36 chevy 2 door sedan that I am building. You know I don't see very many 36 chevies, seems that most aftermarket parts skip 36 and go to 37 and up. Whats up with that? My car is a flat back (no trunk) and I think it looks a lot better than the hump back. I use to have a 37 hump back, its a much larger car over all than the 36. Well I plan on taking lots of pictures at the show. I will let you all know how it was.

Keep the sport alive!

HEY VICTOR, ARE YOU SURE THAT WORLD OF WHEELS IS IN INDY CAUSE ITS ALL OVER THE AIR WAVES THAT ITS IN CHI TOWN. AND NO I'M NOT GOING, I'VE SEEN MY FAIR SHARE OF HYDRO LOW RIDERS AND GOLD PLATED LOW RIDER BICYCLES, AND GOLD PLATED WHEELS AND TRIM. (not that there is anything wrong with that, if thats what you like) COSTS TOO MUCH TO GO AND LOOK AT THE COUPLE DOZEN STREET RODS...AND LISTEN TO THE THUNDER BOOM STEREOS.

Well we went and had a lot of fun, you see I have a 12 year old son and he enjoyed seeing the gold plated bikes and the newer cars that kids now days have to work with. Its much harder for the kids to soup-up cars like we did in the 50's and 60's, so they rely more on tires and wheels and stereo's to accert their individuality. Had a great time though going thru the swap meet. I bought me an air cut off saw and deep well sockets. Maybe they hold this event more than one place at a time, but it was definatly here in Indy this weekend. It was nice to get out and see some rods and people with the same interest anyway, because I am getting cabin fever real bad. Come on spring thaw!!!!

Keep the sport alive!
