Roller Rockers

I want to get a set of roller rockers for my SBC. Does anyone have experience that suggests one is better than the other? Choices include, but not limited to, Crane Blazers, Crane Gold Race Extruded Billet Aluminum rockers, Energizers, Proforms, Comp Cams Pro Magnum Rocker Arms, Summit Trick Flow roller rockers, etc. I'm really not interested in the stamped roller rockers.

another well known brand is harland sharp. i don't know that one would be any better than another when you're talking name brand, i've used crane cams, etc. and had good luck.i've got a lunati cams setup in a big block ford and it works good, but haven't used roller rockers, but was eyeing the harland sharp rockers for the big block ford. rickd :-)

HI Dick, I know your set on roller rockers, but I seen aluminum ones break, can't recall the brand and also it was 30 years ago. roller rockers seem to be needed only on very high lift cams [ lot of side loading to the valve stem] or high RPM motors.

Hi Dick Z. If I'm not mistaken you will also have to use "tall" valve covers to clear your new trick rollers. This could cut into your 2001 budget. Rick the 31 A Man

years ago i bought an anglia with a sbc motor that had CRANE GOLD ROLLER ROCKERS. i took them off to sell to a buddy, then bent two push rods because the rocker studs were installed way out of line. that proves to me that they work great, because i put many miles on it with no problems before i switched back to the stock rockers.good luck...
