hello, im starting to get interested in building a street rod. Im planning on purchasing a 1941 fargo pickup truck in the spring. I know very little about the whole building process, and im looking for info about it. Anything would be a great help. Im quite clueless when its comes to street rods.

Thanks in advance

Hi Max, There's some pretty good sites out, you might check out.
1) www.streetrodbuilder.com
2) www.project33.com
3) www.gr8ride.com
Also ask alot of questions. Other street rodders will be glad to answer them. SRS has a good article on bluilding your first street rod you might check out.
It's alot of work, but when you get done you'll be glad you got into the hobby.

Max, the SRS sortable "Magazine Database" is invaluable for the novice and veteran builder. Just enter the key word(s) to what you're looking for and click on search. When you see an article you like, contact me at dick@streetrodstuff.com for a copy. Note we adding new articles every week.

Max, also note you can search this roundtable. Again just enter a key word or two and click on search. SRS members have solved lots of problems since we opened the roundtable! And of course, as was already suggested, you can always ask for help.

Welcome aboard Max!

There is no formal list of ICQ contacts. I'm willing to bet that most folks here aren't familiar with that service. However, if anyone does have an ICQ number or maybe an AOL Instant Messenger name, feel free to post it.

I'd give you my AIM name, but I wouldn't be much help with roddin' questions. :-)

If you click on the names in SRS and there e-mail is with AOL.COM there names are already on instant messenger. If you need to get ahold of me. I'll try to help you too.

Max remember the most important thing is to ask a lot of questions. Attend area cruise nights and car shows. Many if not all car owners are happy to talk about their rides and the work they`ve done on them.
