merry christmas to all!!! I am considering using house of kolors paint on the 33and I am wondering what the group has had in terms of results and/or other companies,ie ppg, dupont. I am trying to use white with red pearl and I can't find a factory colour to my liking.

Howdy,
My product of choice for a finish was Captains Spar Varnish!!!
Really though, Ive used PPG diamond coat on the woody. On another vehicle I used Sikkens single stage and really was impressed with the final hardened finish before buffing.
Ultimately they all are fine products when applied correctly. If you are more familiar with one(or trust a local shop) that may be your best choice.
Happy times,
Woody
P.S. What about black primer with scallops???

Tooltime, I have never used HOK but I know a few painters who have and they say nothing but good things about their product. I never used them because the color I wanted was just a straight black so I used PPG, because the PPG dealer is close by, where as the HOK would have been a mail order deal for me. I did get the HOK color chips and tech sheets and they have some stunning colors that I think you would not get anywhere else, One thing they stress more than the other manufacturers is that you use thier system from primer to clear. Good Luck.........

I personally like the PPG system. Not long I sprayed a PPG white with red pearl. What I did was after I sprayed the sealer, I took and sprayed the white base and mixed a little of red pearl into the clear and boy I came up with an awesome color. I painted a jr. dragster for a fried of mines' daughter. Try it!!!

It sounds like you got your answer frrom the below post(s), but if you are still in doubt, check out,
www.autobodystore.com
They have a very active bulletin board, and the guys are extreemly helpfull. Check the archives, I remember seeing posts on HOK paints before so it will be there. If you don't find it in the archives, post a message, I bet you get 8-10 responses in 2 days or less.
good luck
