I want to thank everyone for their advice on my "Street Rod" debate. In my mind, the car will be a hot rod and a street rod. I'm not building a trailer queen, nor a dragstrip warrior. I like to go down and autocross just as much as I do running at the local drag strip. I'm going to build my car to please me (and my wife of course) and I'm going to see how cheaply I can do it. I love the concept of both the GrassRoots Motorsports (http://www.grassrootsmotorsports.com ) $2001 challenge cars and the novelty of the Junkyard Wars (http://www.junkyard-wars.com ) machines.

I think for now I'm going to be spending some more time welding up gadgets and gizmos for the garage, as the car is still setting outside under snow. Once it warms up enough to melt a little snow, I'll be posting updates to my web site. I think I'll even stick a computer out in the garage for updates. ;-)
