I'm getting ready to replace the TH-350 in my 33 Ford with a 700r4. My car has a pre-overdrive GM column in it with column shift is this going to create any problems shifting the overdrive trans since the overdrive requires an additional position on the selector?
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Jerry

I have a 700 in my '33 Chev. Don't know if it will pull manually into low gear or not. In my case the car certainly doesn't need it. If the TV cable is set up correctly, the low to second shift will light up the back tires with a 3:08 rear gear. Can't imagine wanting to stay in low gear any longer than the trans wants to.
