Can anyone tell me if the chassis for a 40 Ford car and pickup are the same. Also, I have heard that a 35 to 41 Ford chassis is the same. Can anyone confirm this? Thanks in advance for your input.

Not sure about the pick-em-up, but the 35-40's (not '41) are the same.

Believe it or not, some 41 cars had a 40 type frame under them. The only one I have seen was 4 cylinder powered, and was originally built for Toledo Edison. They had 41 trucks with the same engine.

Anyone can restore an old car, it takes a man to cut one up.

My '41 Ford pick up, ( I made it into a stake bed delivery ), sits on a '40 car frame. Canadian '41 pick ups look like a '40 pick up. The frame is the same for both the cars and the 1/2 ton trucks, at least in Canada.
If you want to see a Canadian 1941 pick up, check my web site, - www.NESSTRONICS.com . No thats not snow; its the Bonneville salt flats !!

35-40 cars and 35-41 pickups are all the same basic frame. Only the radiator mounts are in a slightly different location depending on the year and model.

Send for a Wescott's Auto Restyling Catalog out of Boring, Oregon.....it has a drawing of all of the early Ford frames and their differences along with the dimensions and hole sizes. I have made good use of the one that I have. So far I have found no errors in it. Cost is minimal.
