Just had to post this message. We just completed a 33 coupe w/ blown 502 crate. After driving the car less than 50 miles the Wieand 671 blower locked up,after taking it apart,we realized a piece of the casting broke loose and lodged between the impellers. The unit was purchased from JEGS.I phoned them and was told that the warranty was for 90 days and I was s..t out of luck.To no avail,I explained the length of time required to build a rod and the fact that it was impossible to complete a car and have it on the road in 90 days before the warranty expires.I was very irritated and decided to pursue this with Holley/Wieand directly. They were extremely helpfull/polite and told me the blower was warrantied for 1 year and that Jegs should replace it with no hassel,he then called Jegs on my behalf and straightened them out.A short while later I received a call from the customer service rep at Jegs followed by a conversation with both a tech support rep and the big"honcho" himself. To make a very long story shorter,We had a new blower the next day and will have it together in time to make the Nats in Springfield this week.I guess my point is,sometimes there are a couple bad apples that reflect poorly on a company. The initial person I spoke with at Jegs was the kind of person nobody wants to deal with, but,I spoke with a total of 5 other people from both companies who went out of thier way to provide excellant service.I would highly recomend Jegs and Holly/Wieand to anyone. If you've had a problem with a particular company ,perhaps it was just that one bad apple who really doesn't reflect the attitude of the rest of the company.Have a great weekend and look forward to seeing everyone in Springfield!! See Ya!!
