Open Drive Banjo Rear Conversion

Was browsing through some racing parts books and found a 10 spline x 1.25" yoke and a Seal Plate for a Winters quickchange that looks like it might work to convert a Ford Banjo rearend to open driveline. A hole would have to be drilled into the yoke for the retaining pin. I know a conversion kit is available but $275 +/-, but that kind of $$$ for 2 parts, a seal and a few bolts? Any experience out there? Thanks

Got my latest Speedway catalog yesterday and they have a open drive conversion for 32 to 48 Fords. Bolt on kit with no machine work. Price is still $274.95 though.

I've seen that kit, but since I have more time than $$ I was looking for alternatives. Thanks for the replies.
Anyone know if the Winters pinion seal plate/adapter bolt pattern would match a V-8 Ford banjo?
