Be it ever so humble, there's no place like home! I live in the Land of Ahs (Kansas) where we have everything from minus 5 degrees to +110, tornados, wind, hail, rain, snow, you name it. But I've been to many other places and they all have their drawbacks. I guess I'm saying that without the rain, you don't appreciate the sun.

There's only 2 seasons in Phoenix Az. HOT and HOTTER. It's tough to find the time to work on the rod with out giving up some driving time. There's no real "Winter" here to put your car up on blocks and do all those things you keep saying you would do as soon aa winter gets here. And you guys up in the great white north thought you had problems.

I live in South Florida. The weather here is pretty nice year round. I got my car on the road Thanksgiving weekend. It's been hard to take the time to park it long enough to work out the few bugs that have cropped up. Luckily, no serious ones. There are cruise nights within driving distance every night of the week. A side note... I took a break in this post to go outside and watch the space shuttle go up. Even though I live about 150 miles from Cape Canaveral, you can still get a good view. I have seen a bunch of 'em go up, the Challenger's destruction included, it still is an awsome sight.

I worked for Boeing Services a few years back and helped launch the first five shuttles. We had a very good seat for
all the shots.

Hey, it's all a turkey shoot...but California, at least the northern parts, are pretty stable all year around. Stable weatherwise, sometimes the ground isn't quite so stable, but you learn to live with it. They say that the best place to be in an earthquake in California is in a doorway...in Arizona!!

If you have an open car like mine, winter in California is a little dicey, but unless it's wet, I still drive the roadster..and another plus about Northern Calif..you don't have to slice the air to see where you're going..

Keep the shiny side up...

MUCH AS I HATE TO ADMIT IT, IT'S GOT TO BE CA. SINCE IF YOU LOOK AT ALL THE EVENT CALENDERS, THEY HAVE A BUNCH MORE THAN ANYONE ELSE.
I THOUGHT TEXAS WAS GOOD, BUT THEY HAVE LOTS MORE THAN US.
