Maggie's '54 Kustom RUNS!

Thought everyone on the board would appreciate this.

I picked up the new driveshaft for Maggie's '54 Friday afternoon, and got the rear disc brakes on the 8" Mustang axle
finished up yesterday. Today I put the driveshaft in (perfect fit, but it oughta be for $262), filled the TH-400 with trans
fluid, and started it up. I backed it out of the garage and down the driveway under it's own power, this after it's been
sitting for a year and a half after yanking the anemic 223/OD 3-speed.

Sure it only moved about 30 feet, but I'm stoked! I took the time to make a .wav file as I pulled it back into the
garage, with the 'puter mic on the kitchen windowsill. The carb needs the choke adjusted a bit, and I have yet to make
up the Tri-Y headers for it.

Enjoy...

Hey Doc, I guess we should have it posted that HTML tags aren't necessary. Sorry about that!

Awesome sound Doc! Stuff like that makes the extra money spent on real good speakers worth it. Reminds me of many first start-ups without headers in my garage. Seems like we're always anxious to hear it run.

A friend started his prostreet 56 Chevy for the first time last year and drove right thru the back of his garage....didn't adjust his tranny linkage & no neutral switch. I would have liked to had a Wav file of that one. Especially his comments when he finally got it stopped.

By the way. Just clicking on the link didn't work. But copying and pasting it to the addy window and hitting enter did. Weird.... its the same address.
