Has anyone used, or have knowledge of, Jon Barrett Motors as advertized in Street Rod Mag? Seems this would be a good alternative to a GM crate motor.

I'm not sure about the Jon Barrett motors, but another alternative to the GM crate motor is to have one built by SRS. Our engine builder is VERY good. He knows what components work the best together and what things you definitely do not want to do. You tell us how much horsepower you're looking for, and he'll build it. All engines are dyno tested so they're guaranteed to be what you wanted, and you would typically have your engine in about a month.
