Sedanman:
What kind of 1936 2 door sedan do you have?? If it is a chevy,no you can't use a Camaro rear W/O being narrowed. The
stock '36 Chevy rear is 49 3/4" from backing plate to backing plate. Best choice for '36 Chevy is a Ford Granada
or Mercury Monarch as they are 50" wide and the Merc has a 10 bolt cover like a Chevy. I used one on my 1936 Chevy 2 door Town Sedan with a spring kit from Chassis Engeering. Perfect fit and a nice ride. Hope this help's if,you have a Chevy.

I'm sorry, yes it is a chevy. Thanks for the info, I guess I will start looking for one of the rearends that you suggested. By the way what is the differance between a town sedan and a regular 2 door sedan? My car has no trunk.

Keep the sport alive!

Chevy made 3 style's of sedan in 1936,Town Sedan has a trunk
with a trunk lid,Sport Sedan is a "hump back" no trunk lid
access is from inside at rear seat,Coach is a "slantback"
with no trunk, the spare tire was carried "continental style"
If your plan is to turn your car into a streetrod you should
gat a FREE catalog from Chassis Engeering as they have thing's that will make the conversion E-Z and price's are good. I'll tell you what I used and had to do to build mine
if you like. If so send me your e-mail address. Mine is:
