Color opinions needed

Okay, I can't decide.

I have selected the colors for my 32 Tudor. The suspension, brakes, steering box, motor, front I-beam, etc. will be "Aspen Silver Metallic", which is a slightly redish silver. The body and frame will be "black cherry metallic".

I can't decide if I should paint the 8" rear body color or suspension color.

Though I am using a HVLP spray gun and doing the silver in base coat/clear coat, I don't want the car to have that "spray can" look, so I am leaning toward the rear being body color, but it is so far under and I am running full fenders, so it will be very dark under the car.

If you were at a show and got down on a knee to peek at the running gear, which would you think would look better,

a) a dark body color rear with the four links, rotors, calipers, etc. all silver
or
b) all the bolt on parts the silver and only the body and frame the dark cherry color?

I'd do the rear in red. I'm doing a red car and A arms and rear will be black to hide them. I would not go lighter than body color on rear, especially silver, as it will look like an attempt to avoid the ten bucks for a chrome cover.

I have found light colored painted suspension parts show all kinds of road dirt and grease not to mention stone chips, and are a real pain to clean and maintain. Darker colors are much easier to keep up and look cool with maybe some silver pin stripping here and there. But if you really want to WOWUM, spend a few more bucks and chrome them.

sounds like a great color combo for your rod. i would use the body color for the rear for sure. it will make a good contrast against the rest of the suspension, and like you stated you wont have that spray can look from a distance. good luck...how about some pics of your rod in prgress?
