Using Jag Suspensions

Does anyone have experience or point me to an article of doing a Jag front clip and rear on a 42-48 Ford frame?
I have an opportunity to pick up a complete 85 for next to nothing.

I'm putting one on my 49 Ford PU. I found a web site showing how to put a jag suspension on a 46 Merc. The process looks fairly straight forward. I'm amazed that there aren't more jag IFS on street rods. It seems a simply operation. The web site is: http://www.geocities.com/hotrodder1938/chopper.html

Good Luck

carl I used a jag rear in the 52 ford f-1 works like a charm now, the only problem I had was the spring rate for the coilovers was too light and the drive shafts came out level instead of pointing down, I changed the springs and raised the rear about 2" and my vibration was gone.e-mail me and I would send some pictures. I am happy enough that the 33 has a jag rear as well. see my post of out the door.

I forgot to mention in my reply to 286merc that I'm also going to use a jag IRS. Right now I'm measuring things and planning the fabrication. Thanks for the info on the light springs. Did you install it with or without the cage? I've seen many rodders take the cage off, because of looks, but I'm thinking of installing it with the cage for the extra strength and ease of installation. I planning on fabricating some frame mounts that attach to the original cage mounts. I have concerns about ride height though. How close did you get the cage (or top shock mount) to the bottom of the frame?

Thanks, Steve
