Dick
How do the new cobalt blue dots attach to the lens I am using. I have custom tail lights. Do they glue on or do you have to drill through the existing lense?

All the bluedot sets I have ever encountered, you needed to drill to install, never heard of glueing em on. I saw them duct taped on, but that was on lostandfounds car.

big al,

You do have to drill throught the existing lense. If its plastic a conventional drill will do. Start small moving up to larger drills. Drill very slowly.

If its glass you must use a diamond drill. Start with a small drill. If the glass lense is imported than there will be no guarantee of success in drilling the hole. They can break with a burst so you must be very careful. Always wear safety glasses and gloves when drilling. U.S. made lenses are okay to drill, but take the safety precautions. Note all the lenses we sell are U.S. made.

After drilling, you then place the dot in the hole and twist each of the four tabs 90 degrees. Obviously tabs face the inside of the lense. That's it.

I have had excellent results using a step drill to drill plasic lenses. Make sure you center it on the bulb.

Dick
Thanks for the advice. The new '37 I have has custom tail lights. I need to figure out how they were installed before I order some blue dots.
