Was thinking of buying a Kwiklift. Anybody have one or used one? Need pro and cons.
Don't have room for a lift.

I've got a small roll around Snap On brand roll around scissor type lift i'd sell.I've only used it a couple of times.It is electric over hydraulic with a safety stop on it.Works great!

Rick;
The only drawback I have seen to the Kwiklift is that you have to jack it up, then put down the legs. But I have never heard of a problem with one. A friend of mine in Missouri bought one this year at Americruise and he likes it.

Had one, bought it 3 yrs ago sold it at Nats North last month. Was handy,really was great for what I bought it for. But you never have the use of that stall for anything else,such as a non runner or a long term project. If you would be interested in a used one check with the company as the owner told me they do sometimes have them, also a friend of mine has one he said he would like to sell.I think he said for $800. Same reason for selling as me.Of course it's a ways from Kansas to west Michigan

Hi Rick,A buddy of mine bought one a year ago and had this to say when asked how he liked it "It's OK but wish I would have saved my money as it's actually as easy to put the car on 4 jackstands".Just his opinion for what it's worth!See Ya!!

The 'ol fatfender Dude has to disagree with your buddy!! I have a quicklift that I have had for @3 years, and it has been a lifesaver for working on any part of the undercarriage! I wont work on a car with jackstands unless I'm on the side of the road!! This device is very easy to drive up on, and when I'm not using it, I just take the front legs off and drive on the ramps flat on the floor!! It does not have to render a bay in your garage useless!!! Now I have to admit, if my ceiling would allow it I would like to have a fully hydraulic lift, but then you are definately ruining a whole garage bay unless you plan on doing something on the lift!!!
Everybody is entitled to their own opinion of how to use their garage, and that's exactly how it should be!!!!!!

Fortunately I have a friend with a hoist,but will have to agree, it would seem much safer with the car on the full ramps as opposed to 4 jackstands.I'm getting a little too thick thru the middle to be sliding under my car anyway!! See Ya!!
