Street Rod: car consists mainly of 1-800 parts and carries matching chairs, Owner stands by it 100% of time and wears a rod run shirt to make sure everyone knows its his. Thinks hes a rodder because he "assembled" the car.

Hey GLEN,
I called 1-800 parts this morning. Got the operator. I can't stand by the car 100% of the time. Potty runs, food & drinks run , then potty runs again. Vicious circle. Need a life size cardboard cut out of me to stand guard over the car while on a run. Just the same I'm a streetrodder, even take the mag.

There are only two kinds of rodders, real ones and the posers who feel the need to define the rest.

ED, Have to agree with you. I did alot of the work of my ride, also used the 1-800 number for things I could buy cheaper or better than I could do. Also have a couple buddys who really have talent who helped me. When ask if I built it. always say "yes with the help from a few buddys" My wife and I used our hard earned dollars to fund the project. I have the scars and doctor bills to remind me of the things I did to myself while cutting, grinding, welding on the car. The 1-800 people have the money I spent on the parts I used on the car. The buddys who would take payment for the things they did, have a few extra bucks in thier pocket, the ones who would'nt I owe big. All of them have my thanks. Did I build it myself you ask? Yes with yhe help from a few buddys. So if you ever ask!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
