I have been looking for a way to title my '32 ford roadster here in ca.I found a title in NY.I don't know what the procedure is to use it for my car?The numbers won't match.I was going to get a mailorder title, but then this came up.The only paperwork I have for my car is a bill of sale for the chassis from Oregon. The body is glass.Any help would be greatly appreciated.Bob

bob, i too had the same problem..i have a 29 ply coupe..all i had was a very worn out vin plate..so what i did was look in the back of street rodder or rod-n- custom and found a place in maryland who ask for $150.00 and they send you a brand new vin plate and title..it looks like the original title and is even signed and dated from whatever year..and 100% legal..be lieve me i am a police officer and did some checking and it`s a stand up company..i sent in my check got the title in 8 days went to dmv filled out a transfer of title and in 4-6 weeks got a brand new title(clean) and a new vin#...hope it helps.......pat

Bob,A friend of mine builds a car from time to time in California. He does both glass and steel. In either case he goes to the DMV and they assign him a new VIN # and Rivet a VIN tag in the door that is accepted in all 50 states. The company Pat suggested is also a good option,I have used them several times with excellant results. The company is Vintage Title,Ph# 410-535-1933. Good Luck,See Ya!!
