Anyone remember how to adjust headlights by shinning on the side of the house or a wall?

i would have vehicle about 15 feet from wall on level ground, measure from ground to center of lights and mark this dimension on wall, minus 1/2 inch or so. the center of the low beam should shine on the marks you put on the wall and should shine slightly to the right.

Rick, I do mine at 25 feet. but the same method. messure the height of the headlights. Transfer to wall then adjust. They do sell gauges that clamp of the headlight and you use a bubble.

....and the high beams should have the edge of the concentrated beam on the horizontal line.

If you have trouble finding the center of the beam to check the high beams (the high concentration of light) change the bulbs. You probably have the H-4 halogen conversions behind a stock mis thirties lens and that combination's only good for low beam operation (and they're even marginal in that mode). When you try and use the high beams, you wind up with floodlights, not a focused beam.

Skip, I know we covered this on the RRT a long time ago, but is there a halagon bulb that will work with stock 39 Dodge reflectors & lens?
