I have two projects, and can't find time during cruising season. Most of my work gets done between October and April.
My general theory is:
If you have the room
you're not tight on cash
you can find the stuff
then it's time to stash.

Dave, 2 years ago I attempted to not only build my 27 but to also try and restore a '78 V12 Jag!!! The lesson I learned is that it cost me about 3 times as much money to work on just the 2 cars. Since you don't just run down to the local wrecking yard for Jag parts and also I discovered someone tried to cover up damage to the left front which knocked things out of kilter, I gave up and sold it and ended up really taking a beating on it. My only regret is not keeping that cool rear end. I never even got to hear the beasty run sooooo........
After that learning experience, progress really jumped on the '27...All I can say about having too many cars is yes, thats too many. lol
Buy too many, spend too much... Fred P

You've got most of what you need to get the 37 running Dave, you just need to put it together!

I never have more than one project at a time. That way I don't get confused and get alot done on the one I have.
Hey Fred, what I would have done is use the Jag engine and drive train in the 27. That would be a real head turner....

Grumpy, that thought of using the engine and rear end went thru my mind many times but the engine was so long the body would have been about 3 ft long!!!! Or build another chassis....I love polished aluminum but one caution to those that have yet to run into this "problem"... at the car wash, that green stuff for engine cleaning....?? if you get it on fresh aluminum it will etch it and then back to the polishing job which is many times tougher now. My aluminum diamond plate style fire wall got it good!!!
It turns my head every time I close my eyes and think about it!!! lol the zoomie headers....12 cylinders....OMG!
