Taking my car to get exhaust installed (350 crate 330 hp, mild cam)I thought the larger 2.5 in. pipe would be best but I was told it would rob HP,That I would be better off with 2.25 pipe.Any input?Bob

highboy, the larger pipe won't rob you of horsepower, it will raise the rpms that your torque curve will come in. the 2.25 will be better for your lowend 2.5 will work more towards the mid range, though i don't know how much you will notice it, but thats the way i'm told it works.

There are a lot of other factors involved, such as hedder type ,size, ect. along with bends in the pipe, muffler size and type......ect. A mild 350 should handle 2.5 well. Go to a good muffler shop and get an equilizer pipe also.
