I have a 79 Camero clip on my 47 Ford. Are there larger GM rotors and calipers that will bolt on and if so will I need to get bigger wheels (now running 14" wheels)
Looking for more stopping power

Yes, and no. If you use spindles from a mid seventies Caprice, or early 80s Caddy, it is the same spindle, you can install the 12" brakes that they used. They require a 15" wheel, and if you want to keep the 4 3/4" bolt pattern, you have to use a rotor from a 94 Camaro with the optional large brakes. All this stuff bolts together, but not on the spindles you have now.

well, yes and no on the 4 3/4" bolts, too.
the later caprices had 4 3/4" bolt circles (83-84 ish)

So, what you're saying is that the later Caprices had 15" wheels with the 4 3/4" bolt pattern? I want to put 15" wheels on a '68 Nova sub, but stay with the 4 3/4" pattern.
thanks,
phil

!5" whhels with a 4 3/4" bolt pattern were available on 70 to 87 caprices, also Buick Lesabre, Olds Royale, Pontiac Bonneville, and Parisiene. The heavy duty models had 5" bolt pattern, the lighter duty models had 4 3/4" bolt pattern. They were also available on 69 and 70 full size Chevys, and 55 and 56 Chevys All these wheels will accept the 58 dog dish hubcaps if desired.

Yes the Caprices came with 4 3/4" bolt pattern, but they also had 11" brakes Police taxi models had 12" brakes, but a 5" bolt pattern too. The only 12" factory rotor with 4 3/4" bolt pattern was the mid nineties Camaro/Firebird. Actually there was one in 79 and 80 too for Camaro/Firebird, but it is not serviced, or even listed in the parts books anymore, even rarer than 69 Camaro 4 wheel discs.
