Got 800hp? I didnt think so. No tubes.
What kind of rim do you have?
Reason I ask, I have 15X14 weld pro-stars that Im wanting to trade off for an aftermarket 15X12 steel wire rim.
I currently have 31X18.5X15 M/Ts, would like to go to a 28X16X15 tire. Im wanting smaller to make fender fitting easier.

if at all possible, stay away from tubes...if anything punctures the tire the tube will go flat.however a tubeless tire will more than likely hold air for a while or develop a slow leak. that will give you a chance to see there is a problem with the tire and you are not beside the road wishing you had a 14 inch wide spare....
real hot rods are rough around the edges.....dalecarbuff

Tuk, NO, you do NOT need tubes! Unless you plan on spinning the crap out of those tires! If that was the case, you would already know these answers, and would be asking about what screws to go thru the rim into the tire and which brand beadlock is best.
If you do a lot of tire spinning, or get a lot of sidewall flex(due to tire spinning or circle track racing), then you run the possibility of breaking a bead loose and its best to run tubes with beadlocks. But for a street rod, way more pain than its worth!
