how do I hook-up a 1 wire alternator to my stock 57 chev. can I still use my idiot light?

just take a wire from the battery post on the alternator directly to the battery. after the alternator starts to spin fast enough it will start charging. about the light. no, i went with a volt gauge which is a much better choice for battery voltage info.

no, not w/o some fiddling with the circuitry. The wire for the idiot light went to teh voltage regulator. the regulator is sealed in a 1 wire alternator.
