I'm looking for info on the lil coffin. Pictures ect. Close-ups of the roof/windshield. Any other tech info would help. I'm thinking about a project with a simular roof treatment, or possibly even a clone. Anyone know if the car still exists? Thanks, Eric

HI I HAVE THE SCALE MODEL OF THAT CAR, I HAD IT SINCE 1965. IT IS UNOPENED, STILL SEALED IN THE ORIGINAL SHRINK WRAP. I CAN SEND YOU A DIGI PIC OF THE BOX IF THAT WOULD HELP.

Thanks Ed, I've got a pic of the model. It's been re-released so I think I'll buy one. I'm hoping to find some shots of the actual car. So far no luck. Like most customs, I guess it went through several restyles. I dont think I want to copy it. Thinking more like a model A hi-boy sedan with the b pillars removed and the a pillars made real thin. I'll have to do a little drawing and see how it would look.
Ther was a write up on it in either SR or R&C last? summer I believe. Check your back issues for more info. I think it IS currently in Starbird's care.

I'll add my 2 cents here. The Lil Coffin was built by Starbird and a guy named Dave Stucky. It went through many different phases (one of them being the Monkey Ward car) and if memory serves me correctly it was even burnt in a mishap while being loaded on a trailer. It's in the Hall Of Fame Museum. Now that you guys got me thinking about it, I'll probably spend the next couple hours going through my magazine collection to fill in he blank spots in my memory.

Well it's called a vacation day. I got back from Pigeon Forge last night and I knew before I went that I wouldn't feel like working today so I already had it scheduled. Besides I never work on my B-day.
