We were out looking for you. Actually Faat Rod was parked next to George and we were parked across from him. It was a deal to catch anyone around the tent. On Friday most of us spent time inside where it was cool.
Sorry we missed you.

Ray, I'm really bummed out that we missed each other. I was exactly where I said, right in front of west hall on the right hand side of the rose garden about 4 or 5 tents down from the SRS tent. Dad and some of the other Nite Cruzrs that you met in Kzoo where there. My cell phone was on. I thought you had the number. We all went to Joes for BBQ dinner on Sat night and they just so happened to have a cruz night going on there, about 300 cars and they were still coming in when we left at 9pm!! We'll just have to plan beter next time Ray. R U coming up for Kzoo? Charlotte? What about Cruzn the Coast in MS the begining of Oct? Talk to you soon.

Hey Ray! we are planning to be at the Tampa Nats and of course Daytona. It shouldn't be too hard to hook up with you in Tampa, it's not a real huge event. Daytona is another story. I will let you know when it gets closer to Thanksgiving about a meeting time and location. Hope all is well.

Hey Denise! Keep me posted as to your potential Florida trip. In fact if any of you other folks are gonna head south, let Grump and me know. The Thanksgiving Day run in Daytona is a great event to plan for. It's a 4 day event that takes every bit of the 4 days to check out. Generally, there is about a 5000 car attendance figure. The fleamarket alone takes 3 days to go thru. E-mail me at ZZFORD@PEOPLEPC>COM

Sorry to miss you too. Next time leave a note and we can hook up somewhere. It would have been nice to see you again. We met at Kalamazoo last year after I had been admiring your truck and didn't know it was yours.
It seems like with 4 days of Louisville there would have been time to find each other or BS more with the ones we did find. There was just so much going on that it was hard to fit it all in.
It was nice meeting Dick Z, Mrs Z, Denise, ZZHOTROD37, and Red32...even if it was a short visit at the SRS canopy on Saturday. I stopped back by your area this morning (Sunday) and the canopy was gone.
Also ran into Wireman, Wheels1950. Real nice cars, guys.

First of all, Denise, thank you for letting us have one of your reserved rooms at the 'Signature', but a room came open at the
Executive' while we were enroute to Louisville, so we took it since we could just walk across the street from the fairgrounds, glad we did too, it sure got toasty. Sorry we missed meeting you.
I saw you Denise, drive by while talking to '40, he pointed out you, your friend and white car to me. (hey Daryle!)but we were'nt quick enough to stop you. Saw you, Hotrodpurplepickup, driving in the gate one day, recognized your truck from the posted picture, nice ride there fella.
I worked the NSRA safety inspection station for a few hours Saturday, but DID get by to visit Dick Z. and wife Karen, also met Red32 and son at the SRS tent. Thanks for the hospitality! We really enjoyed the visit. Also got one of the new window stickers they've got out now.
We pulled in on Fri. late morning, parked out near the ferris wheel, cruised around and found a spot just south of the 'Wings' trailer fri. afternoon. Saturday morning, we got a spot near the main entrance where we could see cars coming and going.
Sorry we missed the BBQ, Kristy and I met some old friends at the NSRA safety banquet that same night and just hung out after that.
We left for Springfield Mo. Sunday 6AM and followed some friends in their Stude sedan, good thing too, his start switch fried at a gas station so we jumped the solenoid and cruised on home.
After 10 hours of sleep, I think I'm back to normal again.
Yes, it was HOT, yes it was BIG, but the beer and tea was cold! We met some great new friends along with old pals and saw some great rides.

Didn't go, wished I would have after hearing and seeing what went on. Oh well guess theirs always next year! Heard some really neat storys and saw some even neater rides on streetrodding.com's coverage and cant wait to see more here soon! I did hear of a few horror storys though...seems as though there was a pretty nasty accident involving a motorhome and a open roadster. I was told at first everybody thought the passenger (owner of the roadsters wife) had died but heard that later on the story changed and she got away with only broken ribs and right pelvis since the impact was on the passengers side. Also a friend who was there said that during Friday nights storm that went through one of the motel workers that was on duty at the motel where he was staying had her car windows down and so my buddy Bill offered to run out and wind them up for her...well she went out anyway and ended up getting struck by lightning. The way I was told, the lightning bolt came through her umberella and from there on through her and back out, nothing serious with her it just kind of shook her up and with that there were some burns...the umberella glowed red it was so hot after getting hit, needless to say she was burnt just the same. All in all with 12,000 plus streetrods it was dare I say busy and there was hardly any room to move but from what I saw and heard a fun time was had by all and there was plenty to keep all occupied! See y'all next August!!

Had a ball at Louisville! Was there all 4 days. Never did find George or Denise. Hooked up with all the Z family and got to meet Brent and Daryle. It's nice making connections.
Hope to be there next year on wheels. Wish me luck.

Had a GREAT time at the Nat's!!The weather was HOT!! as usual, still can't figure out why they must have it in August??Perhaps if we have an NSRA rep out there lurking, they could shed some light on that.Have been thru Kentucky in mid-September,what a beautifull time of year there! It was a pleasure to meet the SRS staff with the exception of Jason(Must have drawn the short straw??) and also several other SRS members as well as many old friends made over the last several years.I wasn't aware of the BBQ dinner deal or sure would have tried to make it,sounded like fun.Sorry I missed hooking up with other members there but by Sunday was lucky to remember my name!!Still have a few events to go,perhaps we can meet up yet this summer!!Am trying like heck to get the slantback finished to go somewhere/anywhere this year!!See Ya!!
