Tilt Hood

I was thinking about a tilt hood and grill on my 33 chevy. I saw guy at a show do this on a 33 Ford and thought the guy said it was a Volvo hinge that pulls the hood forward as well as tilting up. Any truth to this story or ideas on how this is done

Check out Tri-C Engineering which is the manufacturer of the kind of tilt hood you are looking for:

Don't remember the year for certain, but some late model Buicks, I think Park Aves. have that type hinge also.

Lots of the Buick/ Olds hoods tilt forward. Atleast the 85-91 Park Avenues and Lesabres did, probably Olds 88 and 98 too. Don't know how adaptable they would be to tilt a streetrod hood/grill assembly though. Just have to measure and try.
