I have a 700R transmisson and was wondering which is the return line, the upper or lower line on the trans? (Geeez, this time I will write it down!) I also have about six feet of 3/8" fuel line, can that be used as a trans return line or should I get a hose specifically for transmission fluid.
Thanks for any help you can throw my way!

I forgot the correct one for return. But NO gas line. They dont last long than its a fire. Get the good stuff if you have to use it from the parts store made for trans . I also us double clamps on trans and fuel lines. Old habit from racin but it keeps your stuff from burn down with you in it.

Use hose specifically designed for tranny lines. It is made to withstand greater pressures. There is a lot more pressure in the tranny cooling lines than most people realize.

The top line is the return line.

For some folks that like to run cheap rubber hose on the trans cooler lines.
I will point out that the pressure in the cooling lines on a trans can reach 80 psi.
