The Lipstick Tour will be in West Columbia SC on Friday, July the 26th. Denise, Liz and the women of the Lipstick Tour will stop at Maurice's Bar-B-Que Restaurant at 7:30 and eat. Afterwards, socializing will be done in the parking lot.

Everyone is invited to the tour stop and meet the Lipstickers and other members of StreetRodStuff. Drive your street rod if possible. The restaurant is expecting us. There have been cruises there before and they know how to take care of rodders.

Maurice's Bar-B-Que is located at 1600 Charleston Hwy in West Columbia. Hwy 302, Hwy 321 and Hwy 176 intersect in front of the restaurant. Take EXIT 113 off Interstate 26 and go east about 1 and 1/2 miles. Can't miss it. The restaurant has been a local landmark for years.

StreetRodStuff members expected to be there are Denise, Liz, Johnny Walker, Dalecarnut, 40stude, my wife (Steeldeuce) and myself.....Deuce. Others have said they might make it.

Looking forward to this southern stop of the tour and meeting a lot of you ! !

Carl.......... Come on down and join the fun. 52mg emailed that he and his wife were going to try and make it too.

Just get on Interstate 26 and exit off Exit 113. Turn left (east) to go back under the Interstate and go 1 and 1/2 miles and look on your right. Try to enter on the left side of the building, it is a lot flatter over on the left side. My DEUCE will drag on the main road entrance side.

Your can make it to Maurice's from the Smokehouse Bar-B-Que in Anderson (where I saw you last) in about 2 hours.

a52mg has informed me that he has designed and made a special Columbia "LIPSTICKERS" dash plaque that will be given out this friday night at Maurice's Bar-B-Que Restaurant.

A good turnout should be there if everyone shows who said they are coming.

This place has awnings over the car parking spaces so rain will not stop the socializing afterwards.

Update: GREAT NEWS, Kathy is doing much better and has gotten the OK from her doctor to leave town!! Her, Barb and Marleen are leaving Winapeg today and will be hooking up with Liz and I in Columbia, SC. So plan on all five of us Lipstickers going to dinner and sleeping at JW's!! Yahoo!! South Carolina will never be the same!!

We're at MikeC's right now. Had an awesome dinner last nite that Mike BBQ'd. Sat around afterward and sung church hymns and drank soda pop. Was in bed before 9pm! ROTFLOAF!! In reality, I had to carry Liz up to the room at 2AM!!!

Mike's 39 is coming along. Plans are to have it on the road by L'ville next year. The story of how he became the 3rd owner of this great orginal Chevy was great. Had a very evening last nite.

We're all hooking up with Video Bob and his wife at a resturant on the water for lunch today. Kind of cloudy but as long as the rain stays away I'm a happy camper!

Well, I'm off. Miss you guys, see ya soon.

... Well, today is the day of the Lipstick Tour stop in Columbia SC. Everything is ready, it is HOT ( duh...... it is July in SC ), and I am looking forward to meeting the SRS members and the other ladies of the Lipstick Tour.

Liz and Denise are running together and the 3 other ladies are going to join the tour here in Columbia. Liz and Denise were scheduled to be in Charlotte last night so todays run to Columbia will be short and hopefully trouble free.

There should be almost 10 StreetRodStuff members here tonight. Will try to get a photo (no problem) and post it on SRS...... possible problem..... I am not very good at picture posting. Maybe I can get Denise to use my camera and computer and post them for you.

Bill King...... I think you are missing a great time. No Bar-B-Que, no white from the trunk, and you are in GA while the SRS gang has a get together on a Friday night......

And, we are tearing through his collection of dash plaques, patches & collectible goodies, trying to scrounge stuff. So far, this trip has been one heck of a memory maker. Nothing like it. Denise must have friends in every state & she keeps trying to trick me into driving all over to meet them all. Syracuse Nats was a BLAST! Mr. Willys caught me off guard & it was great meeting him & Suz & the SRS gang. LIFE IS GOOD. Thankx 4 all the encouragement & support from "ya'all". We are Driving our Dream. Well, if someone's room reservation gets screwed up, there'll be six to start with. If their reservation doesn't get the typical didn't-go-through-the-convention-bureau NSRA boot, they'll be in their own room and I'll have a spare bed if someone needs one.

Randy- We won't be able to make it on friday. We are in the middle of rennovation at the store and don't have the help to leave the store in capable hands. Man that sucks! Rumor has it that the girls may turn south to run to Daytona to party at either the Patch or Boothill. Maybe we can hook up on the return since they'll have to run through Atlanta to get to Louisville.

Randy, count me in. I am in Memphis, TN tonight should be in Anderson, SC tomorrow night. I'll probably leave a little early Friday afternoon, just in case, which if all goes well I'll get to Maurice's early. You don't reckon they'd call the law if a rodder was lurking out back in their parking lot for a while do you. Looking forward to seeing every body.
