Do you know where Suwanee, Ga. is? According to "mapquest" its close to Atlanta. I was wondering where in relationship to Atlanta, N-S-E-W. I'm looking at a car on ebay I'm kinda interested in. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Lynn,....Suwanee is just around the corner from me in Duluth. It's located NNE from Atlanta on hwy 23. The best way to describe it is directly on the road from the middle of Duluth to Buford GA on 23. It's literally the middle stop.
Directions for you would be down I85 to just past the exit for the Ga Mall at 20, the next exit will be "Lawrenceville-Suwanee Dam Road", exit there right....go up the ramp..then turn east or right and go to 23....just 3 stoplights or so. That is literally where the town hall is. But, it could be a couple of miles in either direction from there.
I would be glad to look at a car for you if you want prelims, but will be out of town until the middle of next week.
Email me and I will give you my phone if interested.

35, Do you know a Bob Kugman (I think I spelled his last name right). He collects older chevrolets and has a 60 El Camino that I've fallen for? Shows his address as Atlanta. Just wondering if you are familiar with the car, it's listed on collectorcartrader.com. We're thinking about riding up on Saturday and taking a look, he's even offered to meet us halfway with the car, and loan me his trailer if I want to bring it home.
Thanks

No, no Nash for me...Grew up w/one of those in the family, that was enough for me, lol. I was looking at a '65 GTO, still am if ya run across one (want a 4-speed car).
Rob, (a52mg) I went up close to Raleigh Sunday to look at a GTO. This guy had probably 20 59 Chevys ranging from parts cars to projects. He had 4 El Caminos. He even had a 59 Sedan Delivery 2-door that had real good potential. If ya get that 60 and need any parts I'll put you in touch w/him. I'm sure a lot of the 59 & 60 parts will interchange.

Rob- Sorry I don't know the car or the owner but if you're in the area come on by. We'll be at the store all day rennovating (ugh!). We're on the north side of Atlanta by Jimmy Carter blvd and Peachtree Industrial. Just call us @ 770-840-8181 if you make it this far.
Lynn- I do know a local guy that owns Atlanta Rod Shop and he does a lot of resto work on Pontiacs..I'll ask him if he has any leads on anything. How much work do you want to do? Or do you want a driver? I was at a show earlier on this year where I met Wishbone and there was a good turnout of GTO's there too. I'll check with the show folks on that angle too.

Lynn- How many 65 gto 4 speeds do you want??? I went on www.classicalpontiac.com and www.collectorcartraderonline.com and found a bunch. On the trader site I just left it open to the southeast and found a bunch in Florida. I still haven't checked on www.oneinamillioncars.com yet but that's next. There seem to be some project cars on the Classic site. Good Luck!!

Bill, Debbie and I are going over to Columbia tonight to meet with the lipstickers, and leaving early tomorrow to drive up to Atlanta to take a look at the el camino. The owner is meeting us east of Atlanta about 10 miles outside of I 285. Thank God I don't have to pull a trailer on that bypass. My limited knowledge of the Atlanta area tells me that your store is many miles away, correct? So we probably won't get over to see you this trip. If you are closer let me know and maybe we'll be able to stop in.
Hopefully I'll be submitting a photo of our "new" 60 El Camino first of the week.
