Convincing Help Needed
by Checkered Flag

With Louisville next weekend, I need some help convincing my wife to join me on Saturday. Since our car is not ready to drive over, I need some selling points for my wife to be interested in going. We have not been ot the Nats before so I can't tell her what is there to do?

Any Ideas??

There is also a tram that cruzes the outskirts of the fairgrounds so you can see lots without having to get hot and sweaty walking. She's also more then welcome to hang out and cruz with us Lipstick gals. There is a shuttle that goes from the fairgrounds to the mall and back that regular ladies take. This is only a rumor, as I have never been on that bus in my life from any fairgrounds to the mall!! LOL Tons of great people with great cars. She will really enjoy herself!! See ya'll there :))

Now it looks a little more promising for her to go BUT now grams & grumps won't be able to keep the kids (2 & 6) So hopefully all will go according to plan!

Thanks for the info!

I guess I'll have to scrape up some spending ca$h for her too 8-(

Not to worry Kelly, They got kids games to! Bring gramps and the whole gang too!! They'll enjoy seeing the rides they grew up with.

There is a Six Flags amusement park right next to the fairgrounds and I think you get a discount if you're registered for the show. There is also entertainment at night in the main building (Freedom Hall).

My wife isn't particularly fond of walking around looking at streetrods all day or going thru the vendors, but she does like to sit and watch people & the cars cruising. She likes the people that are rodders too....she says they are all real nice and a lot of fun. Since you're getting into streetrodding, it's a good opportunity for your wife to meet some of us good people. You might want to have some of those fold-up chairs in the trunk of your car. See ya there.

Don't let her talk to my wife.....she will tell her the truth about heat, humidity and boredom.....and I am still hearing about how she will NEVER go back to that hot parking lot! It was a mistake for me to take her there, she was ready to go each day by noon! Somebody will think of something for wifes to do? Of course, if she goes to a Goodguys event, they allow her 69 Camaro...different deal then. She really likes Cherokee!

Sorry I have no good news.

Kelly, We used to hit a lot of the small local shows around here and they are the same from one to the other and I ended up going by myself a lot untill we went to BTTF together and met some of the members from here and we had a blast together!! Then it was on to Des Moines and it got even better. Gail had to watch some kids when Americruz was on so I took my youngest two sons along and had just as much fun. Now my wife and I are planning to go to KC for the first GGs show and we don't even have our 40 done yet!!! I think she will be like a friens wife that live neer us when he took her to Americruz, For a long time she has given him grief for building a Chevy pickup, now sometime while at Americruz she was hit by the roddin bug and she has informed her husband that she now would like to own a 37,38,or 39 Chevy coupe to go cruzin!! I just talked to her Saturday night and she is serious!!! So hang in there cause good things come to he who waits!!! Bill
