I just got my rod on the road and have been working out the bugs. I initially filled it with 30 weight oil and ran it in and out of the shop while I was completing it. I ran it around town for a while and decided to change the oil and filter.This time I went with 10W30 and now it seems to be using a quart every few days. New rebuild sbc 357 with hypereutetic pistons and childs albert rings that I filed and installed according to manuf. specs. I recall a post similar to this a while back by someone that had switched over to a different weight and encountered the same problem. Anyone remember what the deal was?
