I'm with you Phil! My puter started to get hot also..lol no ballast resistor I guess...Since I'm still using an odd fire motor, I'm stuck with points but that doesn't bother me since I grew up with them and maintenance is just not that big of a problem. Never had a problem using points that put me on the side of the road in ANY car I've owned.

Well, after thinking about this... I had to go back and say something.
Please, this is NOT a reflection of any of you guys here whatever you think about Ignitionman, but he does have a knowledge base that others deserve to experience. I hope no one will start a DAve flaming thread behind me.
I am just trying to be fair to the people whom where not involved over there. I feel like some people here even got left out as a result of the very same thing.

Richard....thanks for not stirring the pot over there. I don't think he will reappear personally, but time will tell. Like I said in my post, this is about being fair to others over there. I also post at other sites as does he and I don't want the war to wash into other forums as well. So, this is my best attempt to say that even tho I am not capitulating my point, I am asking for a truce and want him to participate. His tyrates are really not that bad and at least he keeps it clean. I can live with that.
Regardless of how I personally feel over the way you know who did you know what, as I indicated by answering your email, I felt somewhat bad and responsible that many guys/members etal over there have real questions and problems and actually can have their problems solved by Dave. So, look at is as the resource left as opposed to the personality. I felt bad, even tho it was not my fault perse, that Dave decided to pack it up here because even tho I might disagree with means.....I do like the ends.
I had over 20 emails (and one phone call)about this subject that all agreed or morally supported my points. Only one took exception, not based on principle, but on now how do I find this guy because I have a problem that I want his help.....?
But more to the point, this got me thinking about the others that simply watched on the sidelines. They have been cheated out of a resource because he thinks we are picking on him out of disrespect for his knowledge when in fact it's the way he presents it moreover...not the content perse.
Life is too short to worry about trivial things like this and I am at a point in my life that I view things a little differently. I took the same approach with Goodguys. I don't discuss anything negative about them anymore.....just the good stuff. So goes Dave from here on out. Sorry if I have disappointed anyone, "it's just me, not you!" (George Kastansa, 1993)

Now wait a minute, LOL. That guy twisted the truth an awful lot. Nobody knocked the quality of his product, In fact it is a super product. It was the way he handled his people skills that went overboard. When that was pointed out he went balistic and quit posting on this site. He did that to many sites when his "pitch" and bashing of other people and products was questioned. I, Along with a few other fellow "all stars" (and that is meant jokingly) have questioned him and he blew outa town. I think he just sets himself up to be knocked down again. Too bad, Because he has a lot of good knowledge to share.

Your "top-less" cruzn buddy, Denise
I guess it takes all kinds to make the world spin...everyone can't be as easy going as you and I :>) Being so controversial and negative about the competition is no way to build a business.I get many inquiries about other general contractors in my area,I simply tell the customer he needs to check referances, including mine, before he hires someone for the job.If they take the advice, they can sort the good from the bad.I guess some people thrive on stirring the pot...me,I just want to eat the soup!
