After many mocked up desians that worked but looked to bulky, I fially got the hood in the Hawk to open backwards and clear the new bumper (63 Rivieria) electrically! I'm a cheapskate so I do most of my shopping in the bone yards. With a power window motor, 2 hood springs, and a screw from a sissor jack, I now have a power hood for $8. Dave

Sounds cool! Personally, I think low buck brings out more creativity in rides and makes it more fun to build them.

Stupidbaker57 (Dave), nice Hawk, I went thru. Tenn. for the first time in 1977 a saw this model for the first time. Quite different and really unique. Great job on spending only $8.00 and that was probably with no sales tax added in...LOL.

Ratttruck (Pat) you have the makings of a nice '50 Chev. truck judging from your bio. A 1950 is also on my wish list! Maybe some day!
