Need some idea's what to look for. I have a 350 TPI in the 34. When i push on the gas pedal it hesitate right a first. I've check throttle cable for play. I can push the throttle lever on the TPI unit and still get a hesitation.
It's about 1 or 2 seconds before everything kicks in.

any idea's

First make sure the timing is correct. The fuel is clean and the injectors are operating optimum. I found the throttle positioning switch to be the culprit in some instances. Do you have a diagnostic port? If you do, try a scanner in it. If there is a problem, the scanner will tell you.

First things first! Check the fuel presure. It will cause bad hesitation. If your running an in-tank pump and the presure is at fault (even a few pounds below spec. will do it) replace it with one from GM cuz I find the after market ones don't last as well. Dave
