Thanks for the kudos, Daryle! Kristy and I were absolutely blown away by it all. The interim G.G. editor accidently listed me both as Lance Barnes and 'Mike' Barnes in the Gazzette! Talk about confusing, but hey!! I'm not complaining! Not one bit! The story behind it all is a fun one. Being just a blue collar backyard/shadetree streetrodder....who woulda thunk it?? Certainly not me.

Lance.. just got my Gazette today. Congrats. Now i know that everybody was talking about.
The car looks great.. but it looks better in person.

Did you see the list of hotels in the Gazette? for the one in Kansas? Mid-West nats. The host hotel is in walking distance to Applebee's. KC BBQ,

the Hotels are about 15 mintues from the speedway.

Check out page 54, they show a picture of my brothers 66 Amphicar! Just the week before we cruised across Cherry Creek Res. near Denver in it. There's nothing like driving along the road, turn into a boatramp, kick in the transfer case to the props, then across a lake you go! What a rush.
Yes, Rick, got all the hotel info. We're going to figure out our summer schedule this week and start registering. Ol' Marias will definetly be one of them too! Thanks for telling me about that one last year.

Congradulations Lance! For a backyard mechanic I think you done a great job with the coupe, well deserved.

Lance and Kristy, congratulations from all of us at SRS. Its a fine ride and you're a wonderful couple. We look forward to seeing you both again this summer at one of the Goodguys or NSRA events.

Dick- What is the SRS show schedule this year???

So far, the plans for the SRS Gang include the Columbus Goodguys and Louisville NSRA.....see we show no favoritism
We'll also be the the big car show in Massillon, Ohio on Saturday, June 15th. Last year there were approximately 500 cars and 100,000 people in attendance! The entire downtown area is blocked off the the cars, great food, fireworks, and live entertainment.
