Installed a set of the grey face guages in a Model A this summer, they have worked fine so far.

If you want to go for convex lensed gauges spend the extra and get AutoMeter Streetrod Series...priced right, looks great and you can get them with different face colors (white w/ blk numbers black w/ white I think white w/ blue ?? and I think white w/ red (not too sure on the last 2) Got 'em in the panel and love 'em!

I have a 6 pack in the studebaker (gages that is, I drank the beer). Good quality and no hassels at all. I bought 'em for the price, cuz I'm a cheap ba****, but I'll use them again when I build the next ride. Dave

You anit seen cheap yet erbssr. How bout a brassworks radiator that was made for a super modified stock car that is about 5 inches thick and can cool that 454 of mine for 20 bucks (swap meet) Or a new set of big block headers for 15 bucks (same swap meet) My sudebaker at this time stands me just over 4300 bucks, and thats with all new interior. This winter it gets paint. Dave

Even cheaper yet........Cut out pictures of the guages and glue em to the dash, works well with air conditioning and stereo ads too, You may have to buy the magazine to get these picture ads though, unless you borrow one from an unsuspecting friend.

Go to the doctors office...they always have a zillion magazines. And the best part is that you can get the retro look, as most of their magazines are 10 years old or older.

I have the six gauge set in my 30 and I really like them I got the white and silver with the electronic speedo really looks nice and easy to hookup had to turn the tail shaft over to make room for the sending unit but that was easy then just a wire....

i havent heard anything bad about the dolphin gauges, but i think any time i looked at them going down the road i would feel like i was driving my old ski boat,LOL.....I like SW gages myself,or MOON for the nostalgic look. i have noticed the SW classic gauges are now making a comeback(not the wings gages)
