Postings will be sporadic from now on

I got the axe yesterday morning and since this is where I do most of my tech talk, postings will be sporadic from now on

I'll be here for the rest of the week cleaning up and gathering my "stuff".

Looking for another job in the company (I'm allowed to look but job openings are scarce) and, if I find something, I'll be back on the air.

I don't now, and probably won't in the future, spend a lot of time on the Internet from home so you may not hear from me much in then future.

Use ynst@netzero.net to reach me. That's the e-mail address I'll set up for semi-regular activity. I.e. maybe once or twice a week.

I'm sorry to hear that, Skip. It seems like everywhere you look, companies are laying folks off. I know you have quite an impressive resume and I'm sure you'll be able to find something. Good luck in your search.

Sorry to hear the bad news Skip, I too will miss ya hangin' around with us.

Haven't found a Weekend Warrior member yet thats hooked to the net, can ya believe that one! At least nobody local, I saw about a dozen of 'em at a show last month and they're gonna pass it on letting as many of the Warriors know about our Yahoo hangout as they can and hopefully in the process they'll hook up to the net and start hangin' ten around here probably and on our Warriors club spot on Yahoo with us.

Gonna miss ya around bud! Take care and lets all hope for the best on your part...

Sure hate to hear of your plite,i hope you get some thing real soon. If it any help i have been with out work for 8 months so when i went to New York i told my wife that things would change and they did.So some times it looks bad, it not so bad. I truly hope you have a good holiday and a great new year.

i'm really sorry to hear of the bad news with your job. as it was said in another post on this thread, there is a reason for everything that happens. this might be "that positive" twist of fate, i was without work 4 1/2 yrs. ago, small business sold to a competitor and closed. i refused their job offer and took a year off,(my honey-do list got considerably shorter), they hired a new manager, i applied for a position, was hired and i am now happy as a lark. do some things that you might have been putting off.
